We pressure test to find the real source first, then fix it with a fixed quote before any work begins.
We pressurise the cooling system and find the actual leak point, then quote a fixed price. No replacing parts on a hunch, no surprises on the bill.
We use OEM-grade parts and road-test the car before you collect it, so a proper fix stays fixed. We tell you straight what your car needs.
If the gauge is climbing or you're losing coolant fast, don't risk the engine. We'll come and collect it at no extra charge.
Sent my Nissan X-trail for servicing. Coolant leakage was observed so also chose to replace radiator and the hose.
After diagnose, it find the water pump is wear and resulting the coolant leak. And I tell him to replace the water pump.
My car had a leaking radiator and they helped me arrange the tow truck and perform diagnostics. They were very prompt in action (quick turnaround) to replace the parts and had a dedicated service.
My water coolant leak slow and there were no signs of leakage anywhere.

We diagnose and repair cooling-system leaks on continental and Japanese cars, from everyday makes to Porsche, Mercedes, BMW and Audi, using OEM-grade parts to keep the engine running at a safe temperature.
We pressurise the cooling system to factory spec and find the exact leak point before any work begins.
Split end-tanks, corroded cores and brittle hoses are common leak points. We replace them with OEM-grade parts.
Worn pump seals and warped plastic thermostat housings weep coolant. We fix the cause, not just top up.
Once we confirm the fault, you get a clear, itemised quote up front. We fix what needs fixing, not what doesn't.
Before anything else, check this. Many owners come in worried about a coolant leak when the puddle is simply aircon condensation. In Singapore's heat the aircon runs flat out, so a clear puddle under the front of the car after a drive is usually normal water dripping off the system, nothing to worry about.
Here is how to tell them apart. Aircon condensation is clear like water, has no smell, and shows up under the front passenger area after you have been running the aircon, especially in traffic. Coolant is coloured, usually green, pink, orange or blue, slightly sweet smelling, and feels slippery rather than watery. It is often further forward near the radiator or under the engine bay. If the fluid has any colour or smell, get it checked. If you are not sure, send us a photo on WhatsApp and we will tell you straight. And if the temperature gauge is already climbing, stop driving and see our car overheating guide for what to do right now.
Coolant leaks announce themselves in a few clear ways. Most owners notice one, and the symptom often points to the failure.
1. A coloured puddle. Bright green, pink, orange or blue fluid, typically after the car has sat overnight.
2. A sweet smell. A faint maple-syrup odour, strongest near the engine bay or through the vents.
3. The temperature creeping up. The gauge climbing past midpoint in traffic, or a warning light on the dash.
4. White exhaust smoke. Sweet-smelling steam from the tailpipe means coolant is getting into the combustion chamber.
5. A dropping expansion tank. You keep topping up the reservoir but never see a puddle. That points to an internal leak.
A note on urgency. The last three mean you should stop driving. Carrying on risks head-gasket failure, warped heads, or a seized engine, repairs that cost many times more than fixing the original leak.
Cooling systems fail in predictable places, so a specialist knows what to inspect first.
Expansion tank. Plastic fatigue causes hairline cracks, especially past 100,000km.
Water pump. Seal wear or a worn impeller. One of the most common leak points.
Thermostat housing. Modern plastic housings warp and weep at the gasket face.
Radiator. Split end-tanks, core corrosion, or impact damage from road debris.
Hoses and pipes. Heat cycling makes rubber brittle. Some cars use plastic pipes that crack outright.
Heater core. An internal leak that shows up as fogging on the windscreen or a damp carpet.
Head gasket. The worst case, and often the result of ignoring an earlier leak. One owner came to us with a slow coolant loss and no visible puddle; a pressure test showed a failing water pump, housing and hoses, caught before it could cook the engine.
Singapore driving is hard on the cooling system. Long crawls on the PIE and CTE, stop-start jams, and year-round heat mean the engine relies on coolant and the radiator fan to stay safe, exactly when there is little airflow to help. A small leak that you might get away with in a cooler country empties faster here, and the gauge climbs quickest when you are stuck in traffic and can least afford to stop.
That is what makes a coolant leak worth sorting early. Running an engine hot, even for ten minutes, can warp the head or blow the head gasket, turning a hose or water-pump job into a full engine repair. If your temperature gauge is rising, pull over safely and switch off. Do not open a hot radiator cap. Call us and we will advise on towing.
We start every cooling job with a proper test, not a guess.
We are often asked for a price over the phone, and we understand why. But cooling parts vary a lot by make, model and even production year, so we diagnose first and then quote. What we can tell you honestly:
As an independent specialist our pricing typically runs well below main-dealer quotes for the same OEM parts and the same workmanship. Once we have your car details and a confirmed diagnosis from the pressure test, you get a fixed written quote before any work begins. No surprises, no moving figures.
A proper repair. We find the leak, replace the failed part with OEM-grade components, refill and bleed the system, then road-test to confirm the engine holds a safe temperature. We stand behind the work.
Topping up alone. Pouring in more coolant only masks a leak. The level drops again, and every hot run in the meantime risks the head gasket and the engine. What starts as a cheap hose job can become a major repair if it is left.
We will always tell you straight which one your car needs. If a small top-up and a watch is genuinely all it wants, that is what we will recommend. If your engine is already showing the effects of overheating, see our engine overhaul service, and for general fault-finding there is our engine repair workshop.
Our workshop has spent over a decade as a reference point for cooling-system and gearbox work in Singapore, and other workshops send difficult cases to us. We diagnose and repair coolant leaks on continental and Japanese cars across thousands of jobs. Cooling faults are common on European makes, from plastic thermostat housings to electric water pumps, which is exactly the work we do every week at our BMW workshop and Mercedes workshop. On some cars the cooling system and the gearbox share an oil cooler, so a leak there can put coolant into the transmission; if that has happened we handle the gearbox overhaul under one roof too. And if your puddle turns out to be aircon water rather than coolant, that is car aircon repair, a different job. Whatever you drive, we will tell you straight what it needs.
1 Car Service is a trusted cooling-system specialist in Singapore, with skilled technicians, pressure-test diagnostics, and fixed written quotes. Drive down or WhatsApp us. We will show you exactly where it is leaking and what it costs, with no obligation, and get your engine running at a safe temperature again.
WhatsApp us for a fixed quote. We'll pressure test, show you where it's leaking, and tell you what it costs before any work begins.
WhatsApp us - honest quoteReal cases from our Sin Ming workshop, each written up with the symptom, the diagnosis, what the job involved and, where recorded, the published cost.
If the temperature gauge stays at midpoint and you are not losing coolant quickly, a short drive is usually fine. If the gauge climbs, or you are topping up more than once a week, please do not drive it. Call us and we will advise on towing. Running a critically low system even for ten minutes can destroy the engine.
Aircon condensation is clear, odourless water that drips under the front of the car after you have run the aircon, and it is completely normal. Coolant is coloured (green, pink, orange or blue), slightly sweet smelling, and feels slippery. If the fluid has any colour or smell, get it checked. Send us a photo on WhatsApp if you are unsure.
It depends entirely on the leak point and the parts needed, so we pressure test first and give you a fixed written quote before any work. A hose or expansion-tank fix is among the most affordable cooling repairs; water pumps, thermostats and radiators sit in the middle; heater-core and head-gasket jobs are the most involved. WhatsApp us your car details for guidance.
The usual sources are the radiator, coolant hoses and pipes, the water pump, the thermostat housing, the expansion tank, the heater core, and in the worst case the head gasket. A pressure test pinpoints which one before any parts are replaced.
Simple hose or expansion-tank replacements are usually quick. Water pumps and thermostats often take one to two days, and bigger jobs that involve engine disassembly take longer depending on parts lead time. We confirm a firm timeline with you before any work begins.
Yes. If the engine overheats from low coolant it can warp the cylinder head or blow the head gasket, and in severe cases seize. That is why we treat a rising temperature gauge as urgent and recommend stopping rather than risking a far bigger repair.
We find and fix the leak. We pressure test the cooling system to locate the exact source, repair it with OEM-grade parts, then refill, bleed and road-test to confirm the engine holds a safe temperature. Topping up alone only masks the problem.
Yes. We send real-time WhatsApp photos and videos as we test and repair your cooling system, so you can see the actual condition of the parts and understand the work being done before you decide.
Yes. We diagnose and repair cooling-system leaks on continental and Japanese makes every week, including the plastic housings, electric water pumps and oil-cooler setups common on European cars.
WhatsApp us and we'll pressure test the cooling system, show you exactly where it's leaking, and quote a fixed price before any work begins. We stand behind every repair and road-test the car before you collect it.
