We service continental, Japanese and Korean cars at Sin Ming AutoCity. Honest advice, transparent pricing, and only the work your car actually needs.

What's included in a car service

A proper service is more than just an oil change. Depending on your car and its mileage, here is what we cover:

  • Engine oil and oil filter. Fresh oil to the right grade for your car, with a new filter. The core of every service.
  • Fluids. We check and top up brake fluid, coolant, power steering and washer fluid, and flag anything due for a full change.
  • Filters. Engine air filter and cabin (pollen) filter checked and changed when due, so the engine breathes and the cabin air stays clean. Due for a full aircon clean too? Pair it with a car aircon servicing in the same visit.
  • Brakes. We inspect pads and discs and tell you the wear left, so you change them when needed, not before.
  • Multi-point inspection. Belts, hoses, battery, tyres, lights, suspension and leaks, all checked over.
  • Diagnostic scan. A full computer scan to catch fault codes early, free with most jobs.

You get a car that runs smoothly and a clear picture of its real condition.

Why an independent specialist beats the dealer

Authorised dealer service centres charge premium prices because they are the brand-authorised channel. A lot of that bill is the badge on the door, not better work.

Here is what you actually get with an independent specialist:

Lower prices. A major service at a Mercedes or BMW dealer in Singapore can run several hundred to a few thousand dollars depending on the model and interval. The same service with us, using the same quality of parts, costs a fraction of that. Not because we cut corners, but because we don't carry showroom overheads.

The same parts. We source OEM parts directly. Where OEM-grade parts perform the same for less, we offer that choice openly. You decide what goes into your car.

Dealer-level diagnostics. We run the same dealer-grade tools, so we can do service resets, coding and adaptations, not just the basics.

Straight talk. You deal with the people working on your car. No middleman, no vague invoice, no upsell on parts you don't need.

Minor service vs major service

Not every service is the same. The two you will hear about most are the minor and the major.

Minor service. The regular interval, usually around every 10,000km or once a year. Engine oil and filter, a fluids top-up, and a safety check of brakes, tyres and lights. It keeps the car healthy between bigger services.

Major service. The deeper one at the longer intervals on your car's schedule. On top of the minor items, it can include the cabin and engine air filters, spark plugs, brake fluid and a transmission fluid service, depending on what your car is due for.

Not sure which one your car needs? Tell us the model and mileage and we will tell you straight, then quote only for that. For the full interval guide, see our car servicing and maintenance page.

Servicing for every make

We service continental, Japanese and Korean cars, day in and day out. That daily volume means we know the common fault patterns for each make, so nothing gets missed.

For continental owners, we run dealer-level diagnostics for Mercedes, BMW and Porsche. If you would rather start with the workshop itself, our car workshop in Singapore page has the full picture. Whatever you drive, we will tell you honestly what it needs and what it doesn't.

How servicing works with us

We keep it simple and transparent:

  1. Tell us your car. Send your model and mileage on WhatsApp, or just drive down. We confirm what your car is due for.
  2. Clear quote. You get an itemised quote with parts and labour before anything starts. No verbal estimates.
  3. Your approval. Nothing happens until you say yes. If we spot something during the job, we stop, take photos and ask first.
  4. The work. Our technicians service your car and document it with photos and videos as they go.
  5. Collect. We talk you through what was done and what to keep an eye on, then you're on your way.

Most standard services are done within a few hours. We will tell you if yours needs longer.

Car servicing cost in Singapore

How much does car servicing cost in Singapore? It depends on your car and what it is due for. A minor service costs less than a major one, and a continental car usually costs a bit more than a mass-market one because of parts.

The honest answer is that we quote per car. The good news is that the same service with us costs a fraction of what a dealer charges, using the same quality of parts. Tell us your model and mileage on WhatsApp and we will give you a clear price before any work starts.

We service all makes and have a comfortable lounge if you would rather wait while we work.

Got a dealer quote? Send it over

If a dealer or another workshop has quoted you for servicing or repairs, send it to us. We will tell you honestly whether the work is necessary or padded, and what it would cost with us.

No pressure either way. A lot of our customers come in for a second opinion and stay because we tell them straight, even when the answer is that they don't need the work yet.

Car servicing FAQ

How much does car servicing cost in Singapore?

It depends on your car and whether it is due for a minor or major service. The same service with us costs a fraction of dealer pricing, using the same quality of parts. Send us your model and mileage on WhatsApp for a clear quote before any work starts.

How often should I service my car?

For most cars, a service every 10,000km or about once a year is a good rule, whichever comes first. Your car may have its own schedule. Tell us the model and we will confirm what it is due for.

What's the difference between a minor and a major service?

A minor service is the regular interval, mainly engine oil and filter plus a safety check. A major service is the deeper one and can add the air filters, spark plugs, brake fluid and a transmission fluid service, depending on what your car is due for.

Is independent servicing safe for a car still under warranty?

Yes. You can service your car at a qualified independent workshop without voiding the manufacturer warranty, as long as the work is done to manufacturer standards with OEM-spec parts. We document everything to that standard.

Do you use genuine parts?

We use OEM parts when they make sense and OEM-equivalent parts when they perform the same for less. We quote both options where relevant and you choose. We never substitute lower-quality parts without your approval.

Do you service all car makes?

Yes. We service continental makes like Mercedes, BMW, Audi and Porsche, as well as Japanese and Korean cars. We run dealer-level diagnostics for service resets and coding too.

How long does a car service take?

Most standard services are done within a few hours. A major service or extra work can take longer. We will let you know the timeline when we quote, and there is a comfortable lounge if you would rather wait.

Can you give a second opinion on a dealer quote?

Yes. Send us the quote and we will tell you honestly whether the work is necessary and what it would cost with us. No pressure either way.

Do I need an appointment?

It helps but is not required. Walk-ins are welcome during workshop hours. For bigger jobs, message us ahead so we can line up the parts. WhatsApp 8033 7708.
