We check before we change, fit the correct battery, and code it for your car. Highest rated, and honest with your wallet.
Slow crank, clicking, or the car won't start? We test the battery and the charging system first, so you only replace what actually needs replacing.
Why Singapore drivers trust 1 Car Service with their battery
A weak start is not always the battery. We load-test the battery and check the alternator and charging system first, so you never pay for a battery you did not need.
Modern BMW, Mercedes, Audi and VW batteries must be registered to the car with dealer-level tools (ISTA, XENTRY, ODIS). We code every battery so your charging system treats it as new.
Most battery replacements take about an hour at our Sin Ming workshop, while you wait. Honest pricing quoted before we start, and you can spread the cost with Atome, Grab or Shopee.
I had my Volvo V40 serviced for a new auxiliary battery and timing belt change. Fast, efficient and to my satisfaction. The cost was very reasonable.
Brought in my car as it had strong vibrations while idling and reversing. Battery also was low on capacity. They managed to replace the engine mounts and battery within a few hours.
Changed the engine oil, transmission oil, brake fluid and battery. Transparent pricing. Done within 2 hours while i waited in their lounge.
Works done: Overall servicing, oil changes (transmission, brakes, engine, etc.), battery replacement. I like the style of reporting, they don't hard-sell, they inspect, and share statuses that are clear.

We load-test your battery to see how much charge it really holds, so you know its true condition before spending a cent.
We fit the correct battery type for your car, AGM, EFB or standard, and register it to start-stop models so the charging system treats it as new.
A battery that keeps dying is often a charging fault. We check the alternator and charging system so we fix the real cause, not just the symptom.
Most batteries are replaced while you wait, with transparent pricing quoted before we start. Spread the cost with Atome, Grab or Shopee.
A car that cranks slowly or will not start is not always a dead battery. Often the battery is fine and the real fault is the alternator, a bad earth, or a parasitic drain quietly flattening the battery overnight. That is why we test first.
We load-test the battery to see how much charge it genuinely holds, then check the alternator output and the charging system before we quote you anything. If the battery needs replacing, we replace it. If it does not, we tell you, and we fix the actual fault instead. It is the same honest approach our customers keep coming back for: we inspect, we show you the readings, and you make the final call.
If your battery keeps going flat for no obvious reason, the cause is usually a parasitic drain or a charging fault in the car's electronics, which we trace properly with an ECU and electrical diagnosis rather than just selling you another battery.
Modern cars with start-stop are not a simple battery swap. Continental cars like BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Audi and Volkswagen monitor the battery through a battery management system, and a new battery has to be registered, or coded, to the car so the charging system knows it is new.
Skip this step and the car keeps charging the new battery as if it were old and worn. That overcharges it, shortens its life, and can throw start-stop and electrical warnings on the dash. Most tyre shops and general workshops cannot do this.
We can, because we run the same dealer-level diagnostic tools we use across our BMW, Mercedes and Audi work: ISTA, XENTRY and ODIS. Every battery we fit to a start-stop car is coded properly, so your charging system treats it as new from day one.
Batteries rarely die without warning. Catch these early and you avoid being stranded:
If you are seeing any of these, send us your car model on WhatsApp and we will tell you what to check.
Fitting the wrong battery is a common and costly mistake. The battery has to match your car's electrical demand, its start-stop system, and the physical size and terminal layout. We fit the correct type for your car:
Put a standard battery in a car that needs an AGM and it will fail early and can upset the car's electronics. We use quality, OEM-grade batteries matched to your car, and we code them where the car requires it.
Car batteries do not last as long here as they do in cooler countries, and it is worth knowing why.
Constant heat under the bonnet accelerates the chemical wear inside the battery, so batteries in Singapore often fade in three to four years rather than five or six. Short trips make it worse: stop-start city driving and short hops never give the alternator enough time to fully recharge the battery, so it slowly runs down. Cars that sit for days at a time, and cars with lots of electronics or start-stop, drain faster still.
None of this means you are doing anything wrong. It just means a battery here is a wear item worth checking once it passes the three-year mark, before it leaves you stranded in a carpark.
1 Car Service replaces car batteries the right way. We test the battery and the charging system first so you only replace what you need, fit the correct battery for your car, and code it properly for start-stop models. Most replacements take about an hour at our Sin Ming workshop, while you wait, with honest pricing quoted before we start, and you can spread the cost with Atome, Grab or Shopee. We do not do onsite or mobile battery replacement, because testing the charging system and coding the battery to your car needs our workshop tools.
If you are dealing with a hybrid or EV traction battery instead, that is a different job, and our hybrid battery repair page covers it. For everything else, WhatsApp us your car model and we will sort your battery out fast. It is all part of our full car repair and servicing under one roof.
Pick your car below for the battery it needs and the price, or browse the full price list. Replacement takes about an hour and is done at our Sin Ming workshop, where we test your charging system and code the battery for start-stop cars. We do not offer onsite or mobile replacement.
Indicative fitment and price. We confirm the exact battery for your car on inspection, and test the charging system first so you only replace what you need.

WhatsApp us - free battery checkEverything you need to know before you replace your car battery in Singapore:
The common signs are slow cranking when you start, a clicking noise with no start, dim or flickering lights, a battery warning light, start-stop no longer working, or needing a jump-start. Most batteries in Singapore last three to five years, so age matters too. The surest way to know is a load test, which we do for you before recommending anything.
Both can cause a car that will not start or a battery that keeps going flat. That is exactly why we test both. We load-test the battery and check the alternator and charging output before we replace anything, so you fix the real cause instead of paying for a new battery that dies again.
Usually three to five years, and often at the shorter end because of the heat. Constant high temperatures under the bonnet wear the battery faster, and lots of short trips never let it fully recharge. It is worth having the battery checked once it passes three years old.
Yes. Start-stop cars need an EFB or AGM battery, not a standard one, and the new battery must be registered or coded to the car. Fitting a standard battery, or not coding it, leads to early failure and electrical warnings. We fit the correct type and code it properly.
Yes. For BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Audi, Volkswagen and other cars with a battery management system, we register the new battery to the car using dealer-level tools (ISTA, XENTRY, ODIS) so the charging system treats it as new. Many workshops skip this step; we do not.
For most cars it takes about an hour at our workshop, including the test and the coding where needed. You are welcome to wait in our lounge while we sort it out.
No, we replace batteries at our Sin Ming workshop, not at your home or the roadside. Doing it here lets us test your charging system and code the new battery to your car properly, which needs our diagnostic tools. It takes about an hour and you are welcome to wait in our lounge. If your car will not start at all, WhatsApp us and we will advise the fastest way to get it to us.
Yes. We replace and code batteries for BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Audi, Volkswagen, Volvo, Porsche and other continental cars, using the correct AGM or EFB battery and registering it to the car so start-stop and the charging system work as they should.
It depends on your car and the battery type it needs. Our full price list and battery finder are on this page: from $135 for a standard battery, with EFB and AGM batteries for start-stop and continental cars priced higher. We test first and confirm the exact battery and price before any work begins, with no hard sell. You can spread the cost with Atome, Grab or Shopee.
The battery itself carries its manufacturer's warranty; ask us for the terms on the brand we fit for your car. What we add on top is making sure you actually need a new battery, fitting the correct one, and coding it properly so it lasts as it should.
