Why the GLA needed new brakes
The GLA 200 came in for a routine inspection. The owner wanted everything checked before the next school run season. During our walk-round, we measured the brake pad thickness and found all four corners were running low. The front discs had scoring from the worn pads. The rears were not far behind.
This is the most common reason brakes fail an inspection in Singapore: routine wear, caught a bit later than ideal. Nothing dramatic, no brake fade or pulling, just discs and pads that had done their job and were ready to retire.
