Car pulling to one side when you brake, a wheel that runs hot, a pedal that sinks, or ABS and traction lights that will not go off? Pads are not always the answer. We find which part of the brake system has actually failed before you pay for any of it.

It depends on which part has failed and on the car: a wheel-speed sensor or a brake hose is a small job, a caliper can often be rebuilt with a repair kit rather than replaced, and an ABS pump is the expensive end because the hydraulic unit and its module are replaced together. My car had a brake system failure, leaking brake fluid, i put my car in another workshop for about a week already and still no progress, yet spending money despite unable to fix, I chance upon 1 car service, thanks to Moses and his team, he was able to find the spare part for me asap, and also able to diagnose a hidden issue that was causing this problem. Instead of waiting for a month at the previous workshop, this place got it done within like 2-3 days after getting the parts. I regretted not coming here earlier, and this shall be my go to place for servicing and repairs.
Found the workshop via google. Reviews are legit. I'm impressed with their service. Initially I thought it's going to be extremely costly as check engine light, ABS light, Traction control light all came on. All in all they fixed everything within 3 hours in total, including test drive, waiting for parts etc. In summary, if you're looking for a workshop with very good service for both human and car, this is the place.

Road test, a check of every caliper, hose and disc, and a scan of the ABS module, so you are quoted for the part that failed and nothing else.
A seized piston or slide pin rebuilt with a quality repair kit where the caliper body is sound, or a replacement caliper where it is not. Fitted with fresh fluid and a proper bleed.
Swollen, cracked or weeping hoses replaced, in pairs where they have aged together, and the whole system bled so the pedal is firm again.
The wheel-speed sensor or reluctor ring behind the light replaced, or the ABS pump repaired or replaced and coded to the car where it needs it, then the fault cleared and road tested.
The brake system past the pads is hydraulic and electronic, and each part fails in its own way. A caliper piston or slide pin that seizes leaves that brake dragging: the car pulls, the wheel runs hot, the pad on that side wears to nothing. A brake hose that has aged swells under pressure or weeps fluid, and the pedal goes soft or sinks. A wheel-speed sensor that has failed, or a reluctor ring that has rusted, lights the ABS and traction control warnings and can confuse the speedometer. And the ABS pump, the hydraulic unit with its module, is the expensive one, with a pulsing pedal, the ABS firing on dry roads or a dead module behind the light.
The symptoms overlap, which is why we never guess. If your problem is squealing, grinding or a pedal that judders, that is usually pads and discs, covered on our brake pad replacement page. This page is for everything past the pads.
A caliper that drags cooks its disc and pad, wears the wheel bearing on that corner and can glaze the pad so the brake fades when you need it most. A soft pedal means air or a leak somewhere in the lines, and a leak only gets bigger. An ABS light means the anti-lock function is switched off: the brakes still work, but in a hard stop on a wet road the wheels can lock and the car will not steer.
None of these are jobs to sit on, and none of them are guesses. Have the car checked promptly, and if the pedal sinks to the floor or brake fluid is dripping, do not drive it: WhatsApp us and we will arrange the tow.
A sticking caliper is stripped, the piston and slide pins cleaned or replaced, and new seals and boots fitted from a quality repair kit, because a caliper body is rarely the part that fails. Where the piston is pitted or the body corroded, a replacement caliper goes on instead, and we tell you which before we start. Brake hoses are replaced with new copper washers at every banjo bolt, in pairs where the other side has aged the same way, and the system is bled corner by corner until the pedal is firm.
On the ABS side, the scan tool tells us which corner is reporting, and a road test with live data shows whether it is the sensor, the ring it reads or the wiring between them. A new sensor is fitted and the fault cleared. A failed ABS pump is repaired or replaced and, on the cars that need it, coded to the vehicle so the module talks to the rest of the car. Every job ends with a road test and the old parts shown to you.

On Mercedes, BMW, Audi, Volkswagen and Porsche the ABS module is tied into the stability control, the parking brake and often the adaptive cruise, so a sensor fault throws several lights at once and a replaced pump has to be coded to the car. We read the brake and stability modules with dealer-level diagnostics, XENTRY for Mercedes-Benz, ISTA for BMW, ODIS for Audi and Volkswagen and PIWIS for Porsche, so the light is traced to its cause rather than reset and left to return.

The car pulls to a side when braking or feels like it is dragging, a wheel runs hotter than the others, there may be a burning smell after a drive, and the pad on that side wears far faster. We confirm it on the lift by checking the piston and slide pins.
Often, yes. If the caliper body and piston are sound, a repair kit with new seals, boots and slide pins brings it back for far less than a new caliper. If the piston is pitted or the body corroded, we replace it and tell you why.
Usually air or a leak in the hydraulic side: a swollen or weeping brake hose, a caliper seal, or old fluid that has absorbed water. We pressure check the lines and bleed the system to find out, and replace the hose or seal that is letting go.
The anti-lock module has found a fault and switched itself off. On most cars it is a wheel-speed sensor, a rusted reluctor ring or the wiring to one corner; less often it is the pump itself. The brakes still work, but the anti-lock function does not, so have it checked promptly.
For a careful drive to the workshop, usually yes, because the normal brakes still work. Without ABS the wheels can lock in a hard stop on a wet road, so leave more distance and avoid the expressway. If the brake warning light is on as well, or the pedal is soft, do not drive it and message us for a tow.
