What the owner reported
The owner noticed the coolant reservoir on the BMW X1 was sitting lower than it should be. A quick WhatsApp with a photo of the reservoir confirmed it: the level was down and the car needed attention.
At under 30,000km this came as a surprise. The BMW X1 sDrive18i is a relatively young car and a coolant leak this early points to a component that has not held up to heat cycling in Singapore conditions. Ignoring it is not an option. A BMW that loses enough coolant will overheat, and an overheated engine is a far bigger repair bill than a thermostat and some hoses.
The car was also coming up on major service mileage, so the owner asked us to combine everything in one visit.
